A Cosmic Victoria Day Celebration Print

The Orono Fairgrounds in Clarington will be the site of some cosmic Victoria entertainment this weekend.

The Cosmic Campout is a three day fundraiser music and art festival (camping optional) to benefit not for profit Org4peace featuring over 20 bands from Durham Region and the GTA.

Acts performing in the event include The Stables, I Dunno, The Standstills, The Bone Devil, The Bulletproof Tiger, Worst Pop Band Ever, Janetville Dug, Melanie Hebert, Patrick Dorie and the Honest Thieves, Death and the 9th Day, Whoa Nellie, Alfie Latanski Soul Heart and GT Harris. There will also be DJs and an artisan village including Geordie Lishman.

In keeping with the overall theme of the event, there will also be morning yoga, onsite massage and visual artists.

Festival goers are encouraged to bring their picnic coolers and dancing shoes. They are also reminded that fires are not allowed (personal cookstoves permitted only), that attendees should keep dogs and other pets at home (with the exception of service dogs) and that no glass or fireworks are permitted on the grounds.

The event takes place at the Orono Fairgrounds. May 18th, 19th and the 20th 2012. To get to the fairgrounds, follow Main St, Orono to Centreview St & follow parking signs.
