Police shut down grow op in Bowmanville Print

Two Markham men are facing drug charges after Durham Regional Police officers dismantled a large marijuana grow operation in Bowmanville.

On Thursday December 20, 2012, officers executed a search warrant at an address on Scottsdale Drive in the Liberty Street/Longworth Avenue area. Over 1,500 marijuana plants were seized, worth approximately $1.5 million, along with various pieces of growing equipment. Two males were arrested at the residence.

A 29 year old man and a 26 year old man, both of Markham, are charged with Production of Marihuana and Possession of Marihuana For The Purpose of Trafficking. Both were held for bail hearings.
