Bowmanville teen stabbed Print

Durham Regional Police report that a 17-year-old male from Bowmanville was stabbed Monday night during an altercation with two females.

On Monday October 24, 2011 at approximately 5:00 p.m. officers from Central East Division responded to Lakeridge Health in Bowmanville for a reported stabbing victim. Information was received that a male had been transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The male was later released from the hospital after treatment.

The altercation commenced in the driveway of a residence on Roser Crescent over an outstanding debt owed to one of the suspects. A physical confrontation ensued, resulting in the male being stabbed.

Investigators obtained the name of the suspects and arranged to speak with them regarding the incident. The suspects turned themselves in to Central East Division where they were arrested.

An 18 year old Clarington woman is charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of Weapons Dangerous and Carry a Concealed Weapon. The accused was held for a bail hearing. A 17-year-old female was arrested but later released unconditionally.
