Clarington content to be added to police website Print

Beginning the week of September 6, 2011, Durham Regional Police Service's East Division (Clarington) has been providing Neighbourhood Alerts as part of a pilot project designed to assist the community.

From September 6, 2011 until November 30, 2011 East Division members will be updating their East Division website section of Durham Regional Police Service web-site on a consistent basis with new and pertinent information. If successful, this pilot project will become a permanent website activity.

Neighbourhood Alerts will contain information about incidents occurring in specific areas throughout the Municipality of Clarington. Incidents to be focused upon and discussed will include thefts from motor vehicles, break and enters occurrences and other incidents our service would generally not generate a full media release for. Our intent is to inform our community of the events occurring within their neighbourhoods and to promote further communication between our community and members of DRPS East Division.

In addition to Neighbourhood Alerts, the Clarington web-site will be populated with success stories, crime prevention tips and investigative updates.

To access this information, visit our website at www.drps.ca, click on the Our Organization tab on the left navigation bar, click on “Operational Divisions” and select East Division.
