Clarington flower shop robbed Print

An employee of a Bowmanville flower shop employee was struck over the head and robbed as she was opening the store this morning.

Durham Regional Police report that on Monday, May 16, 2011 at approximately 6:20 a.m., a 31-year-old female employee of Bella Donna's Flower Shop on King Street East in downtown Bowmanville was opening the store when she was approached by two males looking for change.

One of the males then struck the woman over the head with an object. Some cash was stolen from the register and the two males fled the store in an unknown direction. The employee called police and was later taken to a local hospital where she was treated and released for a laceration to her head.

Suspect #1 is described as: male, white, shaved blonde head with blue eyes, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and baggy jeans.

Suspect #2 is described as: male, white, heavier build, with brown hair, wearing a brown jogging suit.
