Construction to hit Clarington roads PDF Print E-mail

Roadwork is going to make parts of Clarington roads a little more congested for the next couple of months.

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department is advising residents that lane restrictions are scheduled to be in place on a section of King Street East (Regional Highway 2) in the Municipality of Clarington from the week of Monday, Sept. 26 until early December for the installation of a sanitary sewer. In addition, a five-day road closure will be implemented at separate times on both Prestonvale Road and Sandringham Drive.

Lane restrictions will be in place on King Street East--from Osgood Drive to Sandringham Drive--in Clarington. The road closures will be on Prestonvale Road and Sandringham Drive only.

The Region says that detour routes will be posted, but that motorists should expect traffic delays and are asked to exercise additional caution for the safety of the construction workers. They also note that unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
