A traffic stop in Bowmanville on Friday morning led to the seizure of $28,000 worth of marijuana by Durham Regional Police.

On Friday, April 29, 2011 just a few minutes after midnight, an East Division officer operating an unmarked police cruiser followed a vehicle speeding eastbound on Highway 401 in Clarington. The officer determined the speed to be upwards of 130 km/h and pulled the vehicle over near Liberty Street.
