Drug store robbed PDF Print E-mail

Durham Regional Police report that a Clarington pharmacy was robbed by an armed man on Monday.

On Monday April 25, 2011 at approximately 3:30 p.m. DRPS officers were called to the McGregor IDA on King Street in Bowmanville for a robbery that had just taken place. They say a man approached the pharmacy desk and presented a note demanding oxycontin pills and stating he was armed with a gun. He then pulled the handle of a gun from his pocket.

The pharmacist handed over a bottle of oxycontin pills and the suspect walked out of the store. He was last seen heading east on King Street and south on Temperance Street. No one was hurt during the incident.

The suspect is described as male, white, 25-35 years-old, about 6’ and 200 lbs, with light brown hair and a full beard, wearing black pants.
