Trenton murder suspect nabbed in Bowmanville PDF Print E-mail


Ontario Provincial Police nabbed a suspect in a Trenton murder at a Bowmanville truck stop on the 401 on Sunday afternoon.

The OPP say that on the afternoon of February 28, 2010, their officers, with the assistance of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), arrested Jason Frost, age 30, and Michael Garniss, age 49, for the death of 48-year-old Lisa Marie Palmiere, also known as Lisa Todd, of Trenton. During the evening of February 27, 2010, Quinte West OPP officers responded to a shooting on Sidney Street, Trenton. Under the direction of Detective Inspector Shawn Glassford, Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), officers launched an extensive search for two suspects.

According to police, Garniss was apprehended at a truck stop in Bowmanville, Ontario, without incident. Frost was apprehended at the Quinte West OPP Detachment.

Both are being held in custody and will appear in Belleville court on Monday, March 1, 2010.
