Clarington charity box theft PDF Print E-mail

Durham Regional Police have arrested a pair of Clarington men after they distracted a convenience store clerk and grabbed charity money from a donation box.

On Sunday January 17, 2010 at approximately 10:00 a.m. police report that two suspects entered the Mac’s Milk Convenience store located on Mearns Avenue in Bowmanville. One of the men distracted the clerk while the second suspect grabbed a Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation box containing approximately $20 and stuffed it under his clothing. Both the accused then left the store without buying anything. The employee was not physically injured during the incident.
