Golfers and food lovers take note. You can help a great cause and get deals on golf and food at the same time, thanks to the Firehouse Youth Centre.
The non-profit organization is selling 2010 Durham Golf and Leisure Guides and 2010 Deals for Meals Value Cards to raise money. Profits go to support the Clarington based youth centre.
The Golf and Leisure guide is being sold for $30 and offers over $9500 in savings, and includes 150 free rounds of golf. It also offers savings for non-golfers in the form of restaurant, ski resort and spa coupons.
The 2010 Deals for Meals Value card is going for $20 and includes a variety of two-for-one, half price and free appetizer coupons good at a variety of Durham Region restaurants, including Boston Pizza in Bowmanville, East Side Mario's, Casey's and others.
Located at 132 Church St. in Bowmanville, the Firehouse Youth Centre offers after school drop-in programs for youth. The centre features equipment for sports and recreation, online computer access, Nintendo Wii and more. All services are free of charge, and the Firehouse is under adult supervision at all times.
Firehouse is run by the John Howard Society of Durham.
