Bad weather blamed for fatal Clarington crash PDF Print E-mail

Durham Regional Police say that bad weather may have been to blame for a fatal collision in Clarington on Friday night.

Police report that the accident occurred around 11:30 pm when a southbound Chevy Venture driven by a 63 year-old man collided head on with a Dodge Caravan on Regional Road 57 near Concession 9. The Caravan was driven by 37 year-old female.

Police say that weather conditions were poor at the time, and that it appears that the Chevy Venture crossed into the northbound lane, resulting in the crash.

The driver of the Venture was declared dead at the scene, while the female driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
