According to solar manufacturer Day4 Energy Inc. and Hybridine Power Systems Canada Inc., developers of the solar energy park, construction of the facility will begin in the second quarter of 2010. The solar energy farm will produce enough energy to power 360 households for a year, and will be one of the largest in Canada when it is completed. Over 8,900 solar modules will be used at the facility. Construction will begin in the second quarter of 2010, with completion slated by the end of the year. The solar farm will be located in Brownsville, located just outside Newcastle in the Municipality of Clarington. |
